True. I mean, if he already had a name, It only makes sense that Hasbro would freak out about them changing the name for the sake of the fan animation. but I feel that would only apply if the character had the name BEFORE Button Mash became an animation
I think he also did Let’s Go Meet The Bronies, if I recall.
But I think this is just a matter of Hasbro claiming property on
High ScoreButton Mash and not having Jan make money off of it, or something.I forgot the full reasoning behind it, since it’s been a while.

I just don’t see why that doesn’t apply to JanAnimations. Didn’t he pretty much make the art assets himself, not like the case with KP’s video “Let’s go meet Jon De Lancie”

And yet, looking back at it, I can see vectors applying to the royal sisters while the foals had their own designs.
Wasn’t Children of the Night” very similar in the shows artstyle though?
Probably because they both had kind of an original art style that was only strikingly similar to the show and not flat-out flash vectors.
and yet what about Children of the Night or Lullaby for a Princess, why do they get a pass?
I suppose.
Considering that they can lose their copyright if they don’t protect it, I tend to side with Hasbro on this one.
As much as I loved Button’s Adventures, Jan was heavily encroaching on Hasbro’s sovereign turf.
