Sometimes i wonder why they do things like that, as in making the actual animation over the storyboard. Wouldn’t it be easier both for convenience and making sure no animation errors happen, if you do them side by side, as in, on another monitor (or print it out)?
 
It doesn’t really matter how they do it, since they can avoided errors like this by removing the story board layer(s) before exporting the project as a movie.
