That’s what I’m saying! There’s a wealth of scenarios you could take from this, and Twilight and Rainbow would be great for it.  
Of course, it might be funnier if it were Rarity, since she would be sorely embarrassed by whatever she did as a dog. On the other hand, Twilight would have more trouble keeping up with Rainbow Dash. Not sure which one I prefer.

Throw in a scenario that they all have to attend some important meeting with the princesses and some foreign dignitary, with Twilight trying to keep Rainbow from acting like a dog, and it’ll be perfect.

Now I want an episode where Rainbow Dash gets cursed into thinking she’s a dog.  
Maybe she’s helping Twilight (who hasn’t been in enough episodes lately) with some new spells, Twilight botches it, and now RD thinks she’s a dog. Then Twilight has to gather the ingredients for an antidote, Rainbow Dash gets out of the castle and runs amok, Twilight has to put her on a leash, she has to take RD out in public and pretend nothing’s wrong with her, etc. There’s so much potential for hilarity, not to mention cuteness!

Sit. Roll over. Beg. Grovel. Point. Sniff. Fetch. Good girl! Bark! Bark! Rainbow Dash (and Pinkie Pie) would make a good dog.
