Now, Windows 10 has been already suppressed Windows 7’s market share rate recently. And Windows 10 RS4 update is coming soon. I can see very well that Windows 10 was extremely buggy at the early release, but time goes by the bugs get patched and compatibility gets enhanced that before.
And Windows 7 will eventually fall behind soon enough as Windows XP did. Think about what happened in 2014. XP’s market share rate was just over a half of 100 at that time. But soon after that, drastic change made for the rate. And now, 2018, it become just about 4%. This change will happen again soon in 2023 (Win8.1 EoS), and soon they will change to Win10.@DarthBarf
Looks like there is one guy who has a very large knowledge about computers and OS. 20 years and worked on DOS and OS/2 warp….. I admit that. But that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with your every single opnion. I want to point out something because something seems to be invalid.
‘you are no longer in full control of your own hardware, software and even your private data is no longer private’
I say one word: go yay yourself. I mean, MS doesn’t give a shit about what you do even they take screenshots of your desktop and sends it to MS. And speaking of ‘not private’ anymore, how exactly? You still have free access to your files, and keep it safe. I don’t even know what that bs belief is even from..
This one is pretty much got less now, and if you read EULA revised recently (March 2017 I believe), you can see that MS changed its own update policy. Also, forced updates = less expenses? How??
Oh my god. You still think that is distributed unlike any other malware? I say it is bullshit. IT IS JUST A GODDAMN MS WINDOWS UPDATE.
Secure boot can be always turned on or off by BIOS (or UEFI BIOS) setup. And as far as I know, just disabling Secure Boot option doesn’t means you will be getting a lot of security breaches as long as your MBR or GPT table got fucked up.
Also, speaking of ‘removing alt OSes’, is that you meant that bootmgr takes priority over the Linux Boot Manager?

What card is it though? And since MS doesn’t give any shit about XP since they supported it almost 13 years, and they think it’s time ti stop. And speaking of which…
6. Still XP?
WHY THE FUCK…… YOU STICK WITH THAT OLD SHIT!?!? And it is more worse when you use it as priority OS.
7. ‘Free’ IBM-PC compatible system
Never seen a guy who said ‘free’ IBM-PC compatible ecosystem. How is it ‘free’?
I kind of suprised that I’m seeing this guy in brony fandom who has deep, and retrospective computer guy.
I started to learn about computer hardwares and softwares since 2014, and if you’re reading this and still didn’t figured out what age I am, then that’s it. I’m done.
Also if you give every single one an attention, go to the doctor and see if there is anything wrong. Besides, it’s 2010s. The decade right before the 4th industrial revolution. PCs are not the ‘PCs’ work in the past. Things get change. And why don’t you try to get used to it? If you can’t, you’re an what were you expecting me from?
@LemonDrop
XDD
So, here’s my conclusion:
Windows 10 is far as I know the most interesting OS ever, just needs some kernel stabilization. ;)
meh I was not dat argumentative b4 kekEdited
It’s still getting updates. All that matters is my computer is relatively safe.
My computer doesn’t work with installations, however.
I am on windows 10 yes
I mean did you switch to w10 or stick with 7 or do you use a different OS or what?
What do ya mean, that’s when Windows 7’s main support ends. It still is on extended support until 2020 but that’s more for businesses and whatnot using the OS.
Just out of curiosity, what did you do?
I have a commodore 64 too, they dont cost too much these days to buy a working one on ebay (like $100 or so), considering that they used to be worth like 10x that when they were released :p
You could probably make good money off of that.
Collectors tend to be a desperate type.
:DDDDDDDDDDD
It seems to be a known bug but not many peoples seems to have a fix.
If any of you knows, that would help me a lot, because Google doesn’t know.
I’ve got an HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j040us.
Well I am using Asus Laptop A455L with Windows 8.1.
