Don’t forget again that in Wonderbolt Academy Spitfire is all ‘Huh, a little bit reckless but she pushes herself pretty hard’, and then at the end she’s all ‘You know what I changed my mind and even though I encouraged your behavior I’m instantly kicking you out instead of telling you I’m not allowing that anymore’
Exactly, the jerkassery comes when he and the entire team decide she’s guilty without anything but circumstantial evidence.
Then before that there was the whole Rainbow Falls thing where they ditched Soarin AND his backup to poach a flier from another team.
And before that was Captain ‘I care more about Academy Records than safety until called out on it to my face’ Spitfire, who before that was ‘Smile and wave while the Ponyville pegasus team is just short of the wingpower needed to perform a vital weather function.’
And then there was the time their ‘elite’ fliers got pwned by a dragon operating with most of his brain turned off to greed growth.
So yeah, the Wonderbolts haven’t had that great a track record in practice, so it would be nice to see that turn around.
Well the last episode Sorin was justified to question her. Granted, it was a bit unfair due to lack of proof
I hope so. It’d be a nice change from the Wonderjerks they’ve been in about every other appearance they’ve had.

That’s usually how it goes for me as well.
I don’t usually speculate all that much because it leads to false expectations and disappointment when the writers go another direction.
