@DrNazus
Yes I know how is supposed to work, but it doesn’t.
There is such a thing as too minimalistic, also the picture does not fit the lines.
I generally require at least stick people to understand that something is supposed to be a person. This is just sticks. Sticks aren’t people.
@Officer Hot-Pants
“Reaching” is being generous.
I have a tough time explaining things sometimes. I kept thinking “How do they not see it yet? There are clearly two bits of cutlery next to each other and two more in an L shape.”
Ah, okay. Thank you. I have no familiarity with this meme or the comic from which it is derived so it was a complete mystery to me.
This is the strangest, most reaching meme I’ve ever seen.

Thank you! It really made no sense until your explanation.
Now that I understand it, I can safely say this meme is one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen.
Minimalism. >>60359
The lines are meant to represent the number of characters and their respective stances on every panel.
That’s just it.
How do you go from, go from a comic, to a set of lines? That still escapes me.
No. The idea is:
One figure, preferably walking through a door.
One figure facing another, who’s at a desk.
Two figures facing each other
One figure standing up and another figure who is lying down.
If you look into the Cadbortion tag which is below the image, you can see the pattern.
Really? A square of four panels is a pretty damn old format for comics. Is that really all there is to the reference?
See @TheLoneLampman
It’s following the “cadbortion” formula. Though I don’t think the crossed cutlery fits at all. Check out the tag to understand more.
Wait CAD stopped?
He just rebranded right? As much as I want too he was making too much easy money with that stuff.
Damn, this makes me want to rewatch CAD the annotated series. It’s ““quality[](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2wxXQrmCrk) stuff.

I don’t follow. How is the top half a reference to the bottom?
@edzombie
Speak for yourself. This one completely flies over my head.

It didn’t really help that CAD is already a pale imitation of pre-existing comics that basically just goes for “tell one lame joke really poorly each strip”.
Indeed. I didn’t know what it was until very recently and I think it’s really flat as a meme. But hey, when in Rome…
Yeah. In my opinion the people whose brains aren’t trained to equate those lines with the loss comic are the lucky ones.
Webcomic that started making one-off comics about gamers, then it got popular, started doing more character development, more arcs, and peppered some one-off jokes based on the new game around the block in between. And then suddenly, BAM, miscarriage arc. It something that is so heavy and completely out of place in a gaming webcomic that tons of people were pissed off, and then it started fading into obscurity. (He then later pissed off whatever remaining audience he had by ending the comic abruptly and out of fucking nowhere).

it’s an out of nowhere miscarriage plot that was badly done in terms of storytelling and art.
