It is svg, just hit the “Download” or “DS” button (“View” and “VS” give you png)
my reasoning for calling it a downgrade is we’re going from a stable and easy-to-use format to an unstable and difficult-to-use format. true the new format is infinitely scaleable, but when the pictures are a fixed resolution that’s a moot point.

Well, if images are svg from the start, I think it’s a decent format.
nah, we’re just in the process of downgrading some site images from png to svg so i had to convert some of my spoiler pics to that to ease the life of one of our coders.
true story though, i didn’t intentionally make this pic. this is actually what happened when i tried to save this as an svg to test my converter:
your current filter.so i slapped an intentionally buggy border around it and uploaded it because it made me giggle.
at this point I imagined an infomercial voice narrating said text
