How did he die?
Well it does seem like a VERY bad idea to have something that controversial in a kids show, you’ll have people with “traditional” morals screaming at you over exposing there kids to such “immoral filth” and you’ll have progressives screaming at you for “not doing it right”, or for “not having enough of it”. It’s one of those things you can’t ever come back from, and is virtually impossible to pull off without screwing up and ruining everything, like removing that really unstable bottom piece in Jenga, the tiniest error and “JENGA!!”

You should look into her reaction towards the idea of any kind of lesbian love being in the show. To sum it up she thought it was “entirely inappropriate for a kid’s show.”
Meanwhile it’s totally okay for a child to lust after an adult, because it’s het and therefore somehow more okay.
It’s not blatant “die fags die” homophobia but it’s still homophobia, no matter what she tells herself.

And don’t forget, said creator is homophobic and has other issues that make me very glad she was taken out of control of the show.
