First half is good. My opinion is the game falls off the moment the kids tag along. It just kinda gets goofy and comical in a way I don’t like personally.

You keep it the vision of one person. As soon as you let the franchise be controlled by someone else, it changes. Change isn’t always bad, but it makes it different, and you might not like what it changes too. Of course there are people that don’t like what it started as, but do like what it changed to.
 
I agree with you, I like all 4 so far, and rate them in increasing order of awesomeness, but I know of people who don’t like 1, because it’s more of a thriller than an action film, and lots of my friends hate 3 because… I dunno, it was too awesome for them?

good god I love every single one of the Mad Max movies.  
How can one franchise have all good movies?
