The timing and setting fits perfectly, so I’d say that was certainly Thorax.

I think the best evidence is that some canonical sources out side of the actual episodes have named the other changeling as Kevin. If ignore the different names, then I guess you can only separate the two by their bug pony appearances.
They have different shell colors and different ears and I think one or two other things that are different so I doubt they are the same.

As do I. Silver has also referenced the show in the past. I remember in his “AtF: Tanks for the Memories”, he used the “I’m scheming. This is my scheming face” scene at one point. He’s probably just a fan of the show, as we are, and made the same logical jump that we did.
What’s really funny about that is that the original post here making that joke predates the video. So, did the video copy this joke or was it just a case of two people thinking of the same joke?
I’d tend to believe the latter. SQ’s always been a pretty clever guy.
