(I know it’s in the source but I don’t know how many people would actually look at the source for something like this.)

Civ V: Being pissed that the enemy takes for fucking ever to complete their turn. It’s only turn ten, what could possibly take five minutes?!
You forgot yell at your team for being a Gibus Sniper/Spy/Scout.
Team Fortress 2: Screaming at your team for not defending intel/for going all sniper. Screaming at the enemy team for hacking/being ridiculously good.
Payday 2: Screaming at your team for not playing well, losing once, having a terrible loadout or going loud on a stealth mission.
All fighting games: Being mad that your opponent is better at it than you.
Starcraft or Red Alert 2: Being depressed at how bad you are at real time strategy. Losing to early game rush.
There are probably other games out there that I forgot :o

I think opposite, actually. In a single-player game, you play at own pace. Even if you screw up, you can play again however times you like. Not for co-op game. Every screw up is typically blamed to a partner, you can’t hear plot over the talking, cutscenes are outright skipped, on top of it, partner gives up on second-third try. It’s a tool for arguments and blaming game. Better just talk IRL, or at least play competitive game.
What about mindful violence, like in Civ games or other Turn-based strategy games? Or maybe simulation games where you build thing? Or maybe stealth games where you have to assassinate someone, and be clever about it? How about farm simulator? Would you like a nice game of farm simulator?
Yes, mindless violence is a large theme in the majority of games. The problem here is, you’re assuming that violence in and of itself is what all video games have in common.
First of all, what do you even consider “violent”?
Mario jumping on a Koopa Troopa?
Doom Guy plastering the guts of Hellspawn all over the surface of Mars?
Driving a Ruf CTR Yellowbird with reckless abandon on Infineon Raceway, all in the hopes of making first place?
Second of all, are you even aware of games that involve no violence? Can you list any?
Honestly, this topic belongs on the forums. Go there and ask your question.
Godspeed
Lesson 1: Videogames
But it’s mindless violence against monsters and aliens. And mad scientists.
She has that weird hairmane mohawk thing going on.
Never change, Dan.
Edit: hang on a minute, you gave Ellen the same color scheme as Milky Way.
Clever girl.

competitive multiplayer games, on the other hand…
