Judging by his phrasing, Coffee Talk (OC from “Ask King Sombra” tumblr) is supposed to be Заяц in this case.

Gah, I’m awful.
I mean relative to the demographic of this site, which is mostly american (as far as I’ve gathered). If it weren’t for me having a weird russian-loving phase in my youth, I probably wouldn’t have even known this cartoon would’ve existed before this post. It’s an oddly-specific crossover, anyhow. Would Cadance or the Crystal Ponies be Заяц? Who knows.
Obscure? I wouldn’t say so! It’s still hugely popular in Russia and some ex-USSR countries.
