Regardless of that trope, I’m amazed they didn’t edit out the red blood, or change it’s color like they did for “Ocarina of Time,” and “Thousand Year Door.”
They, oddly also left some blood in EarthBound, (like on the Krakken’s teeth, and the stains on Mondo Mole’s claws) and used the word “crap” a few times in the game. (Crap was practically considered a cuss word back in 1995.)
Which is funny, considering that was shortly after Nintendo of America abandoned their old censorship policies. (Because censoring Mortal Kombat’s blood lead to the Sega version selling better.)
And keep in mind back then EarthBound was K-A (Kid to Adult) rated by the ESRB. (Which was the same as the modern “E for Everybody” rating.)
That’s because American Kirby is Hardcore.
Actually, there were 2, Kirby 64’s final boss also featured blood.
The “Kirby’s Dream Collection” anniversary game even confirms it’s blood, and got an ESRB E-10 rating, because of it.
It hardly matters. Once you get to the final boss, you’ll fight a giant bleeding eye, and even in the final level before it, there’s blood everywhere. (I’m kidding-ish. Only one Kirby game includes blood, but well, any final boss after KA is scary. XD )
(Even if we WiiU owners don’t get the game…)
Oh, they certainly do! The problem is, Arika is notorious for being on “By my cold, dead hands”-level of holding onto their characters. Incidentally, characters like Pullum Purna and Skullomania have become pretty big fan-favourites, but haven’t appeared on polls on account of it being impossible for their inclusion on polls to mean anything; if they can’t get the license, why put them in at all?
@Xari
I highly disagree with that opinion of Capcom, but hey, to each their own; ain’t my job to sell someone else on an opinion.
The games in a nutshell…

>Rating: Mature
Ruined the image for me. Still worth reblogging later, I guess?
because they want to avoid being bullied for like a game for little boys and a show for little girls
Why people in the internet is obsessed with being edgy?
True
But still Cashcom is still a bad company but better than konami
Maybe they just don’t want the license that badly.
@Xari
Look at Arika. They do absolutely nothing with characters they’ve made, despite them being sought after by Capcom for inclusion into later Street Fighter titles. Just because they can make money, doesn’t automatically mean a company will license whatever, whenever.
And the reasons why, we can only speculate.
Maybe he could work for sega or nintendo OR A COMPANY IN NEED OF A GENIUS OF MAKING A GOOD GAME FOR THEIR COMPANY OR CONSOLE
Good thing he left, maybe he could get somewhere now.
No one ever knows
Off-course (I do wonder if That cover Will be happy or Evil)
Oh right, forgot about Silent Hills. Why exactly did they cancel that?
For what?
PACHINKO MACHINES
Cough Silent Hill Cough
Konami is a joke by this point
But other people could probably do better with the properties.
Even if they shut down the gaming department, they could always keep the licenses to their characters so others can’t use them…
I agree that was unfair for a company to reject a gaming genius But now he is gone from the company and Konami now know that they will fail in the gaming business
so really basically they have 3 choices
1: STOP BEING JERKS AND DO SOMETHING
2:Shut down the gaming studio’s and or sell them
3:Basically Lose money
Oh right. I don’t like how they treated Kojima.
Yeahh
and also Konami is another company THAT WORSE THAN CAPCOM
