Don’t be perplexed by her rueful glare. As with Maud, her emotions are hard to read–except unlike Maud, who’s standard expression is “neutral”, Cinch here’s standard expression is “high and mighty derision of those with little or no rrrreputation”. Is she happy? Mad? Confused? Irritated? Actually feeling a sense of high and mighty derision of those with little or no rrrreputation? Who can say? She actually has a rrrreputation to keep. So emotional outbursts are right out.
