I just thought traditions vary region to region.
The Indonesian Chinese celebrate the New Year like other Chinese people (almost especially like us Malaysian Chinese), but they do so to mainly to honour their ancestors and give offerings to the gods, spirits and ancestors.
They also call their lion dances “barongsai”.
So, shall I list you as its artist? You should be proud of your work, and you should keep it.
And next year’s Year of the Rooster will hopefully showcase Philomena crowing about, like a typical phoenix.
