See, if I go only by source material and likeliness of scenarios, this wouldn’t be NEARLY as entertaining. The idea that at any point, pia can snap and just go “Y’know what? MY comic!” and just kill off someone, keeps it much more entertaining.
If I wanted to know what would happen, I’d just go read Black Lagoon!

To intimidate and bluff people, obviously. After all, this is a pirate ship, and they’d usually be preying on unarmed or civilian vessels. They might be able to repel a crew of boarders, but they’d definitely give up if the ship apparently could just blow holes in the hull and sink them.
Dunno. Could be they couldn’t afford real ones. Could be they are party cannons. Could be Fluttershy was very insistent they don’t sink ships.
