Description
Just a quick pic I took of my latest recruit for my pony themed army. Still needs a picture on the side yet, and the hatch and other parts fixing on the top.

I see, thank you for the explanation, sounds complicated but it looks like you enjoy it a lot!
It’s a very ‘complete’ hobby. There’s a lot of branches of it to explore.
Model painting.
Converting miniatures, (adding that personal touch).
Scratch-building your own models.
Building scenery for the games.
Playing the game. (Obviously).
Collecting a force.
It’s also a social hobby by it’s very nature, (you need an opponent).
It also requires maths skills (working points out for armies), and it makes you think strategically.
The grim-dark atmosphere of the background can put some off.
There’s also a huge background to explore too.
It’s rare to find female players (but not unheard of).
Yeah. You do have quite an army.
There’s a lot more expensive hobbies, but yes, starting out can hit the wallet hard. This model I’ve put up here was £22.50.
I’ll put a couple of links up later (can’t do that from my phone), because I have a few rather expensive toys in my collection.
If you look back at my uploads, there’s a pic of a load of my titans, and a ‘Harbinger heavy bomber’ scratch build (unique tag here). Some of those are official Forge World models, and are stupidly expensive.
I understand. Table top gaming sure is an expensive hobby.
It can be. A single colour of the official paints costs around £2.60 a pot. Replacing them all would be a big blow to my finances, but I usually just get 1 or 2 as and when I need them. A pot usually lasts me between 3 months (black and white get used up quick), and the light blue I used here on miss Pommel’s mane, I’ve had for around 4 years now.
That sounds expensive.
I use the Citadel paints, which are the official ones produced by Games Workshop, who made the models. I admit though, I do use a plastic primer instead of the official sprays to undercoat them. The GW sprays are around £12 each, whilst the primer I get is £6.50.
