I with how old Magical Mystery Cure is, I think people have just become more acceptING of alicorns over time. As for having even more alicorns, they wouldn’t need to be as powerful as Twilight. I don’t think Starlight would even need wings actually. She’s already pretty powerful, and she can already fly.

Man… what has happened to this fandom?  
I remember this fandom being much more refusing of alicornification than it is right now. Yeah, alicorn Twilight makes sense, I can get around her being a princess. But everyone? That just gets rid of the variety and any interest dynamics in the show among the main cast. Everyone can pretty much do everything.

One possible future I could possibly get around.

Maybe it’s the people who hated it when it was first announced and still haven’t changed their minds or something. Maybe they just hate it because they don’t like the concept, or hate it because it’s not FIM.

RR singlehandedly turned the fandom’s opinion towards EqG into positive.  
But had FG aired before RR, I don’t think it would have been the case. FG was significantly inferior to the second movie. BUT, it was better than the first movie as they actually tried a new concept in the third movie. Had they not made Principal Cinch overbearing as a villain, had they gave the Shadowbolts more focus, had they not given Cinch a petty motive, and had they made the movie focus more on Sunset and not so much Twilight. it would have been better. I would have liked their original proposed ending where Human Twi goes back of CPA to reconciliate with her classmates instead of her transferring thus making CHS cast more unbalanced than it should be. Plus, the former would have been a better message.

Neither did I. I saw the potential of the series. It helped that the human designs and their unique pastel colours were cute.

I realize it’s just your opinion, but I don’t really hate the first Equestria Girls.

The Twilicorn Drama began even before the airing of MMC. It started when the first hints appeared. Not only that, near the end of season 3, Fighting is Magic, a fanmade Pony fighting game that was very anticipated by the fandom, received the C&D from Hasbro. Adding to the drama. The fires were intense! After the siring of MMC, there was the first mention of EqG, people lost their shit when they heard hints of humanized ponies in a highschool environment with highschool problems. It didn’t help that the movie was crap.  
Then near the end of the season 3 to 4 hiatus, there was the DWM(Down with Molestia) fiasco that originated from Tumblr which descended into a full scale war shit-flinging between Bronies and SJWs. Those were truly the darkest times in Bronydom history.

That said, I do sometimes like to dive into the drama pool. I think there were a lot of people who bailed during that time. 2013 was perhaps not a high point in brony history.

No, I mean it, when most of the fandom was busy being in turmoil, you were just like very calm and decided to be more rational than most others.

Ah. When it came to Equestria Girls/alicorn drama, I never really hated either one before they came out. I decided to just see how they’d turn out.

I figured it was a joke. I’ve been around much longer. I joined early Season 2. I’ve had plenty of time to get over Magical Mystery Cure and Equestria Girls, even though I never hated either.

Perhaps I said that because I’m still new to FiM (I started with the Equestria Girls movies, and started watching FiM a few months ago, but I’m still stuck on Boast Busters by now…).

I’ve long stopped paying attention to the fact that Twilight has wings. I’m sure I could get used to one or two more alicorns. I’m definitely curious what they’ll do with Starlight next season.
