Perhaps t responds to the user’s intentions. As bad as the Umbrum are and although their interaction is limited, they ARE Sombra’s family and I doubt that he would want to off them. He didn’t even bring himself to kill Amore, despite the fact that she did nothing to ease his burdens.
Nah, I check TV Tropes as well, and I even contribute every now and then based on what I see happen in the comics.

No, he saw what he had become, the very monster that scared him so much as a child. Kind of broke the charms the Umbrum had over him.
No, and Honestly thats whats bothering me.
Torturing and isolation are punishments worse then death, and the ‘good guys’seem to do nothing but this, they don’t solve the problem, they only make it worse for the next time around.
This is why I generally side with the villians in Mlp at this point. They’ve suffered for longer and more severely then those they’ve targeted, and the end result is someone even less inclined to care about them.
Maybe I’m remembering wrong.
