Actually, I’m pretty sure that Shining Armor wouldn’t be a stereotypical overprotective big brother. Protecting pony princesses – including his beloved wife! – is his job and calling, so he’s going to be good at it, and this involves making correct judgements. He knows fully well how smart and capable Twilight is. And he knows Flash Sentry, too, because he’s a guardspony under his command, one that he and Cadence took with them to Crystal Empire. He’s a smart, laid-back pony. He isn’t going to overreact.
I’m pretty sure Twilight’s the one with the plant.
Twilight had many suitors that day, but Flash was the only one she gave a kiss to due to being the sole pony who showed up with the correct plant.
I’m starting to wonder if” Actual Mistletoe” is a tag we could use as a counterpart to “Holly mistaken for mistletoe”…
