Ever since Dragon Quest, and by extension, Breezies, Tirek, and The Smooze, I keep hoping they reiterate Quest of the Princess Ponies; maybe with magic wands, but definitely with Lavan. :3

It’s almost as if this fandom forgot how they felt about Sunset Shimmer way back when and history’s repeating itself. Either that, or they’re just a bunch of purist idiots screaming to the heavens: “THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!!!”
 
Either way, if the writers expand on Starlight and make her a completely likeable character to the point where people are debating on who is better………………..  
I think I’m gonna gloat a little. Or a lot. Because I’m calling it.

If they do transform Starlight into another Alicorn wouldn’t they need yet another unicorn to fill that empty slot? Hmmm…I say bring in the Trix…

I find it highly unlikely, myself. If they really wanted to go that route (highly unlikely), I guess I could see Starlight eventually having a Princess of Cutie Marks motif, but Sunset doesn’t really have anything that sets her apart from Twilight, focus wise.
 
Plus, Twilight was the main character, and it still took her four seasons before she managed to do it. Sunset ever making an actual appearance on the show is still very much iffy, and I doubt Starlight is going to be as major a character as the other mane 5, let alone Twilight.

Flash also has had time, but… X3
 
To be honest, I like Flash simply because he makes other people needlessly upset. ;D

~ yes, somepony finally gets it. Sick of all these tards fawning over Shimmer and despising Glimmer… chillax people, give her time.

I feel the two of them becoming alicorns is highly likely at this point (hell, sunset is already more or less one in the EQG universe).
 
The odds of the other 5? Not a snowball in hell.

Sunset was, if you just use the first Equestria Girls as reference, was a terrible villain, a bitch, had zero redeeming quality whatsoever, planned a coup against Equestria, brainwashed and turned a bunch of high schoolers into a demon army, and nearly killed Twilight (also stole big crown thingy, don’t forget that)
 
Rainbow Rocks, Friendship Games and a couple comics, novels, other materials are what gave her the character she has up to this moment.  
Sunset spent most of her career as a hero alongside the Mane6 (human version) so it’s understandable why you like her–I like her.
 
Starlight Glimmer NEEDS time and by gum you ought to give her time and a chance!

But I’ll have to wait to season 6 and Starlight’s development. Maybe by then this pic will suddenly be more meaningful.

I have no idea who Sunlight is. Alicorn Sunset makes more sense.

I’m okay with alicorn Sunlight. Alicorn Starlight on the other hand…
