I think of it as a stasis pod, but my mind may be poisoned by Transformers cartoons.
On the second thought, ponies don’t normally wear clothes; Coloratura’s guys don’t count.
Except Lady Gaga wishes she could emerge from something as awesome as a giant unfolding polyhedron with comfy interior throne. I’d say the Countess wins this one.
@shinigamiPeter
I’m also glad to know I wasn’t the only one thinking of this song through the whole episode.
Steampunk doesn’t use electricity. You are looking to say it was early 1900s tech, not steampunk. Steampunk is a whole other thing.
No, I don’t remember when the series was solely steam punk. Remember when season 1 had skyscrapers made of steel (or some kind of durable metal), modernish cameras, and modern fans?
Electricity is not high tech. Do you even know the era electricity was harnessed in? Sounds like you’re just sore someone badmouthed the cartoon you like. The problem is the ponies suddenly having airports, flat-screen TV’s and computers in later episodes.
I’m sure my critics will say it’s a grotesque display
Well, they can bite me, baby, I perform this way
I might be wearin’ Swiss cheese or maybe covered with bees
It doesn’t mean I’m crazy, I perform this way~
well not anymore XP
The irony is that you use as an example this Countess Coloratura Lady Gaga-esque throne that look kinda steampunkish to me with the little green porthole
Yeah, remember when the lights flipped on in episode 1 for Twilight’s party, so strangled by the steampunk.
cant say I do. its always been random with tech despite its setting(I think that’s the right word). then again this could mean that certain sectors of pony tech have been having large booms in tech advances that its been more common place for them.
As a comparison, imagine a Sci-Fi setting, a good writer would write interesting, imaginative and genuinely “Alien” extra-terrestrials, with strange cultures and aesthetics quite different from ours. A very poor writer, however, would make all aliens just Humans with cultures that are just mirroring Earth cultures and borrowing our aesthetics. The Adventures of Rick & Morty bounces between these two, actually, sometimes you get actual Alien settings, others you get Earth 2.0.
Act like a superstar
Save your allowance, buy a bubble dress
And someday you will go far
Now on red carpets, well, I’m hard to miss
The press follows everywhere I go
I’ll poke your eye out with a dress like this
Back off and enjoy the show!
