Twilight is emaciated, twitchy, and is constant scratching her front legs  
“I-I need my b-books, man!”

I see Rarity on the cover of one of those books, what does she have a children’s book about herself?

Little details I’m noticing: the descriptive noises/etc like; “rummage”, “anguish”, and “blissful ignorance” on the previous page.

To go off on a tangent here, it made me think of a scene from Family Guy after Meg had a makeover. The parody would go something like this:  
Twilight: Look everypony I’m an alicorn princess!!  
Night Light: Aw, Twilight I thought you were always beautiful…(bursts out laughing). Whoa, coudn’t do that with a straight face, huh? Shining Armor, go burn all of Twilight’s old pictures.

Goddamn, I was hoping from the title preview a few months ago that we’d be getting a story where Spike becomed santa!

This. It’s not like we’ve never seen Twilight freaking out about books before. In fact it seems S4 kinda forgot about her obsessive book trait, but it’s back again fortunately.

Good thing she have access to Equestria’s budget now… Otherwise paying for the destroyed booth would be a real pain!

Nah. Unlike the last episode, this is well done.
 
I’d sooner be shot than start an hours-long train/bus/plane trip without some sort of book too.
 
(Though as I grow older I am starting to master power-napping as well)
