Because a genius driven to self destruction, moral ambivalence, and compassion fatigue by the scale of his “big picture” understanding plus a stuttering dork of a grandson with severe social anxiety, potential learning disabilities, teenage hormones, and a functioning moral compass makes a memorable pairing.
 
The show’s largest strength is how easy it is to tell how each of the main characters would play off of each other in any given situation, making it easy for fans to insert their voices into other genres.
