Well, each of those other arguments can be justified through one example or another, from Celestia’s introduction to a character being famous in Equestria, to just there being a somewhat well-known race with some exceptions (Gilda WAS treated awkwardly until Pinkie told others that there was a party for Gilda… shrugs)…
But really, it’s all justification based on what side of the argument you’re on.
Plus, Neo Africa is nowhere near Equestria. :3
The Bridle Gossip example gets taken out of context. Imagine if you lived by an area known for supernatural events, alien abductions, big foot sightings, and anything else weird you could imagine. One day a strange cloaked figure that different from anything you’ve seen before comes walking about of there. Would you run up and be like, “Howdy neighbor”? Probably not.
If Zecora had simply arrived on the train the reaction would have been far different.
Also, ponies don’t seem to blink an eye at most other races appearing in Equestria (minotaurs, griffins, and even dragons in Spike’s case).
… Then again, certain ponies have been known to faint in the midst of a bunny stampede…
I think that was more due to where Zecora lived than her simply looking differently. Not that that wasn’t a factor. Still, Ponyville was perfectly accepting once they got to know her.
Like when she gets knocked into a random nondescript changeling and he suddenly gets the memories and personality of her husband while retaining his memories as a changeling? XD
To support your point, I only have 2 words. “Bridle Gossip”
It would be like if someone saw the xenomorph walking around before the Alien movies had come out. I doubt people would have found it cute or ‘misunderstood’ just on appearance alone.
And what you’re proposing is basically like letting orcs or evil fey live inside Minas Tirith and expecting no problems to arise. The very fact that Queen Chrysalis is manipulating you by changing into Shining Armor is proof she has not changed as much as she says.
Or, in other words…
You are not turning this around on Cadance, Chrysalis. There’s literally nothing you’ve done that deserves much sympathy from the ponies. The fact that you tried to enslave them all also isn’t suddenly off the table.
Seriously, Chrysalis playing the victim card here is laughable.
