Oh yes, I as well remember the tree fondly. I just like to point this out to people who’ve been around from the start that a lot of what we were used to early on could very well be arguably called “early season weirdness” now.

The whole “alicorn drama”, on the other hand, never really bothered me at all. She’s still Twilight, just with wings. Ooooooooooo, scary.

Some fun facts for all ya’ll:
 
Twilight Sparkle was only a unicorn for 65 episodes. Not counting Magical Mystery Cure twice(and not counting any specials/EQG movies/etc), she was an alicorn for 156 episodes.
 
The Golden Oaks Library existed for 91 episodes. It was replaced by the Castle of Friendship/whatever that damned thing was actually called, that lasted for 130 episodes.
 
Twilight was an alicorn and had a castle for longer than she was ever a unicorn or had a library tree.
