Well…in the Sundown Universe, apparently none of them are in a relationship. I asked him if Rarijack was present in his world, and he said they weren’t. It was on Tumblr.
So, AJ and RD are the ‘rivals’, I guess in this world, so they constantly butt heads. So sometimes the others get tired of it and make them wear the ‘Get-along’ shirt.
Well the top-one seems more like Appledash than the others, I’ll admit that.
Applejack and Dash interacting doesn’t automatically equal “Appledash”. It just means they’re interacting.
From the sketches, there’s three instances of Appledash… So… maybe they just get bored while fleshing out the actual designs?
Considering he seems to prefer Rarijack over it, it makes sense, but if they usually share AJ when people ask him to choose.
