Robots? In MY fluffy abuse porn? if there were this new breed of fluffy, or fuzzy actually, it might be interesting told from their perspective. of course the roboticness of these creatures is exaggerated by the company. They are indeed sentient beings, but measures have been taken to remove any trace of free will.

The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Yeah, this entire post sounds like it was written by someone trying to bash fluffy ponies… and failing miserably.

Within about five months, fuzzy ponies would be a sales catastrophe. They sound as boring as fuck - even Pet Rocks have funny instructions to back them up. And since fluffy ponies are apparently everywhere in this story’s setting, you can just go out, pick one up, and feed it if you want a pet.

How stupid would Biotech have to be to make this sort of move?

They’re all exactly the same, never make a noise, and don’t do anything unless you tell them? If I wanted a goddamn robot, I’d buy a goddamn robot. I’ll stick with fluffies, Thank you very much.

These guys actually sound less adaptable.

Sure, that was the point, but these new guys sound like they lack entertainment value. Unless, of course, someone fucks with the programming…

…Good job, Biotech. You made a biological robot.
What made the fluffy ponies at least enjoyable was how the pretty much acted like what real toddlers acted like.
That’s what made them adorable, and annoying as hell, and awesome.
Now they’re… blank robots.
And not even Aperture’s robots who have personality. Just… robots.
Good job. You made boring robots.

Using the zeitgeist of companies’ (particularly video game companies) quest to maintain absolute control of their products and turn customers into supplicants was a good idea.
