Description
Greetings every pony! Darkblaze back with another piece of MLP fanart for your viewing pleasure! This time, we have my first piece of artwork related to G5 which was inspired by a scene from a fanfic I recently read called “Craving Closeness.” As always with my fan fiction scene depictions, I highly encourage you to read the story featured (which was written by Caedro and can find here: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/504251/craving-closeness) to better understand the context behind the artwork. That being said, without spoiling the whole story, I will provide just a little bit of context for this art:
After experiencing some troubling encounters, pop star Princess Pipp Petals seeks out her mother, Queen Haven, and older sister, Zipp Storm for solace and comfort.
Overall, I am very pleased with how this piece came together. Considering this was my very first attempt at creating something for the latest generation of MLP content, I am happy with how I was able to mimic the overall look of the characters from the movie in my own style of art. I wanted to really play up the emotions conveyed through this scene, so I did my best to ensure that the lighting and shading was as prevalent and believable as possible, which I think turned out pretty good. As soon as I read this scene from the story, the vision for this piece immediately popped into my head and I knew I had to make something to commemorate such a tragic yet heartfelt story. Thank you very much, Caedro, for writing this beautiful fanfic and providing me the inspiration to create this fanart; if you’d like to check out more of their work, you can find them on FIMfiction here: https://www.fimfiction.net/user/455395/Caedro. Until next time, always remember: DON’T SILENCE CREATIVITY!
Indeed!
Aw, that sounds adorable!
Everyone keeps joking about this…I think it’d be cute af.
