It’s actually only temporary, it’s a transition frame that they set as a test. Her final idle pose, whenever they finish it (gameplay comes before spritework), will have her facing toward the screen like everyone else.
It’s her proto sprite at the moment. They are milling over if she should go against the grain like that or if they should rotate her like the others to partial face the player.
It’s not her final idle stance; one of the devs (I think Nappy) flipped Tian’s character model around to show off that they can do that in the game engine, and never changed it back for some reason.
