“I’m the dragon lord Spike.”
“What does that have to do with it?!”
I made Ember, Torch, Garble and co. humans because it was more interesting.
This comes up every time I do a human version of a dragon character and don’t explain it in the description.
It was never outright stated that all dragons turn into dogs. Maybe they do, maybe they don’t.
Everything else seems to turn into humans, even diamond dogs. The way I see this happening is that it would just depend on how easy it is to translate the character into a human. The teenaged dragons are already very anthropomorphic and the right age group. Turning Spike into a dog seems like a decision they made because they had no idea how to work him into the story otherwise. Not to mention that he’s basically the sole reason that the girls believed her pony princess story, since he’s a talking dog.
