Spectra Shadow - my first REAL OC. It took me some time to understand what one REALLY is, and now that I figured it out, I took the time (about 7 hours) and made my first one. Spectra Shadow was one of the final test failures received by the former gloried Rainbow Factory at the personal request of Dash herself. Being the pinnacle of failure, Shadow was given the immediate demand of death, but not a quick needle-injected one… a slow, painful, grinding mechanical death. Ironically, Shadow still hadn’t earned his cutie mark… and due to a malfunction of the machinery, he survived, although came out of it with a notched ear after narrowly losing it. Dash was impressed, but not amused. With time, he proved his persistence defying death time and time again. Fed up, Dash sought him out and took him under her wing and gave him a choice - kill the remaining colts and fillies with his bare hooves or be exposed to the discretion of Celestia to be used as a scapegoat for the dying Rainbow Factory. Not hesitant at all, Shadow killed each and every failure one by one, mauling, bashing and ripping them apart. It was that day he earned his Cutie Mark as a permanent reminder of the golden opportunity he took, never forgetting how lucky he is to serve directly under Dash… until her death. Now he faces problems greater than before as he sees himself take command of the factory…
 
Of course, that’s his background in a nutshell. I left a lot out, but I’m also considering a fanfic. Please don’t bash this OC…
