Never stated anything being 100% canon just that at some point the writers considered potential episode ideas involving those pairings.
It’s not cannon until I see a kiss, wedding photo, or offspring.
Funny thing is that apparently two of the original ideas for a student episode in season 9 revolved around Ocellus and Smolder having a tea party and a relationship episode between Gallus and Silverstream that would have taken inspiration from Pride and Prejudice. Sucks the latter never ended up actually happening.
I suppose we’ll have to agree to disagree then.
