A lot of charisma? She just annoying, boring, sadistic, power-hungry bug who acts like little bully. Her design is pretty average. Other villains got by far more unique look. She also pretty pathetic, compared to other villains, considering that she need army/Shining Armour love/Grogar bell to be problem to the heroes. Without it, she would get her ass kicked by Trixie. Nightmare Moon, Sombra, Discord, Shadow Pony, all is by far more cool, really charismatic and pretty powerful being really dangerous for heroes.
Sorry, man but Chrysalis was supposed to be Disney type villainess from the start. She’s always was bland pure evil queen. Got it.
If I rob someone in the street, and his wallet contains $100, then I have taken $100. If I ask him nicely and he agrees for some reason, it’s still $100. Energy does not suddenly become more or less based on the intentions behind it. Unless the “Power of Love” is just magically different, which is recycling tired old tropes in favour of accepting that sometimes, evil deeds are committed in pursuit of a greater good. Which makes them all the more dangerous.
Cleary you don’t understand that when you steal it/forcibly take it away, there is less of it. But when it is freely given, there is infinitely more.
They missed a chance to develop a more nuanced villain as well as a more morally ambiguous species. It doesn’t help that Chrysalis had a lot of charisma and an iconic design, while her replacement was incredibly milquetoast.
