No. No he wasn’t. I’m saying Big Mac’s current design is heavily based off of G3’s version of Applejack (along with the Big Brother Ponies from G1).
They’re both red ponies with green eyes, bits of green in the cutie mark, and have just one apple for their cutie mark as opposed to multiple ones like with the other incarnations of Applejack.
Big Mac was in G3?!
She’s still changed appearance and personality wise over the years though. She went from silly ditz to a more down to earth country hick. Also in G3 she was red with a green apple cutie mark (Big Mac was pretty much a rule 63 version of G3 Applejack mixed with the Big Brother G1 Ponies).

She’s like the living fossil of the franchise.

I think thid one fits her a lot better. Not only it’s faithful to g4 AJ, as I posted down below it looks really similar to “G0” ponies.
