Well its still more flesh colored then Rainbow, Twilight, Fluttershy or Rarity.  
Really of the Main Six only AJ and Pinkie actually look “normal”.

They’re a toy company and they need to sell what’s marketable, plus little girls (I can’t generalize all of them because there are tomboys too) like my little cousin likes all that stuff.
