this would actualy result in a perfect clone. The genes are the same, and technically real cloning works by recreating a being by making the diferent sex chromosomes out of one set of DNA. Their child is perfectly safe and can only be mentally different as the clone wars states, because it will want to be different.

I love how the people who ship this, are pretty much telling Rarity to go fuck herself.

Incest greatly increases the chances of defects due to having two copies of a mutated recessive genes, however, it does not cause defects in 100% of cases.
 
That being said, selfcest would probably be WORSE than having sibling incest as ALL of the genes match up (provided the only thing differentiating the two partners is the XX and XY chromosomes), meaning that if one of the partners had a set of detrimental genes, the other partner would have them too, whereas siblings would have a lower probability of having a copy.

Guys, inbreeding doesn’t produce hideously deformed freaks in one generation. It very slightly increases the risks for unfavorable recessive genes to be expressed, and there’re only noticeable differences after several generations of repeated inbreeding.

The most parsimonious conclusion is that they have the same DNA except for different sex chromosomes, assuming their sex determination system is similar to that of horses.
 
Therefore their child would be an inbred freak.
