I also headcanon that her obsession with control stems from a childhood spent in a semi-abusive household, where her parents micromanaged every little detail of her life, never allowing her to have any control until she ran from home in her early-to-mid teens. That headcanon also lines up perfectly with Red’s tendency to cram as much agony and angst into her OCs’ lives as possible.
