Yeah that’s a good idea for a Nightmare Moon foot drawing, maybe posing with her sexy claws shown too! With the Earth (equestrian Earth anyway) shown in the background between her soles.
I also think the moon dust would be dry and just slide along her soles and between her toes. It wouldn’t really stick much but instead pool around her pedal curves~ Kinda like a liquid really, just very fine dust instead.

I may bet, that she also had such time spending, being Nightmare Moon. The Nightmare queen, who overwhelmed the moon surface with her barefoot prints…~

Well the idea here is that she’s willingly taking a break from the world, taking some time for herself and (pedal) self-care.
If you mean the paint on top of her toes, it has some bright glossy spots on it. Since her nails are painted black, these spots are like stars in the night sky. I think it’s fitting for her. The thing that she holds on her big toe with her magic is the brush she’s using to apply the polish lol.
By the way, what’s the thing around her toes?
