As the train pulled into the station, he quickly ran out and wasted no time to Twilight's Castle. All of this began with a letter send from his foalhood friend, Starlight Glimmer. While they have been writing to each other, he only expects short letters detailing recent events and how her life in Ponyville has been. However... This letter in particular was vastly different. From the barely readable scribbles and the frantic message for help he managed to decipher from it, Sunburst had dropped everything and rushed to Ponyville to see what had happened. 

 As he ran through the market and past the town's residents, the only thought running through his mind was panic and worry about his dear friend. He can only hope that she was still okay and that it wasn't too late to help her from whatever it was. She didn't specify what it was, 

but he wasn’t going to take any chances this time and make the same mistake he did so many years ago for leaving her behind. And what was only a few minutes seemed like hours before he had finally arrived at the castle’s doors and frantically banged on them.

  **"STARLIGHT?! Starlight, are you in there? I need to know if you;re okay, please!"**, The colt yelled in a panic. He was getting frightened and extremely concerned for her, worrying about her safety and well being. It wasn't long before he heard the door unlock and slowly creak open, and with this he rushed in and swiftly closed the door behind him. "Starlight, I'm right here! Are you okay?" He looked around the vast hallway... there was nothing else but the sound of his own steps as he walked down the corridor. He kept calling her name, with each time he did grew even more frustrated than worried. 

 "Starlight if this is some joke or rank you're trying to pull, it isn't funny! You can't keep hi~~" Suddenly something quickly dashed behind him and cut him off. He quickly turned around to see that there was nothing there. "H-Hello?" nervously called out as he looked around his surroundings. There wasn't any response, but he can certainly *feel* the presence of another being was there now. The hall began to feel cold and intimidating as he slowly walked through still calling out for his friend to come out. He sure as hell didn't want to stay, but he knew that he couldn't leave either. Constantly looking over his withers, he began to tremble and stutter with fear and worry. He stopped dead in his tracks when that... creature zipped by him again, this time in full view. It was already in the shadows once he saw it, but it was there nonetheless. Now he had to make a choice~~ should he stay and save his friend, or run to get help? He was so caught up in this thought that he had no idea what was coming right for him. From the shadows, two vibrant blue eyes appeared from the darkness if the hall. Now glaring at her target, she made her strike. 

 Slithering at quick speeds, she grabbed the stallion in her coil and raised him  up high. He began to scream in terror since he couldn't see what was down below him.  Kicking and flailing and kicking his hooves helplessly, he had thought at this very moment he would meet his doom. In a final act of desperation, he began to charge a magical blast to free himself  and save Starlight. Before he had a chance to fire, however, a familiar voice echoed through the castle. ***"WAIT!"***, cried out a voice, and in that moment Sunburst let his guard down and ceased fire. "Sunburst, down here!" He looked down and saw it... Starlight, 

while looking a little peeved was okay. “Starlight!” the stallion called out to her with excitement and relief, was trying to reach her to bring her into a hug. Starlight eventually did bring him down to a level where he finally could and hugged him right back.

 "I was so worried about you! Are you okay, are you hurt?!" He was oblivious to what was her issue until he looked her in the eyes... The pupils are slit, looking up he saw her horn gone, looking down a bit he saw in that goofy nervous grin of her's two little fangs protruding, and finally he saw her body extend far beyond normal and wrap around him. 

“Uh…Starlight, would you care to explain as to what happened?…”
He was so dumbfounded by this that there had to be some sort of odd and complex reasoning behind it. The elongated mare gave out a nervous laugh as she set herself up to explain exactly what happened.

“Well, it’s um… quite a funny story. As you know from my last letter, Twilight and the girls had to head off to a friendship summit this weekend; and Trixie went off on tour a while ago! Sooo, that left just Spike and I here by ourselves and… we both got kinda bored really quickly. Spike suggested that maybe we checked out Twilight’s library and to make a long story short, I may have accidentally cast a spell on myself that~~”

“Transformed you into a Lamia! Of course!” Sunburst blurted out at the realization. “Well, close. A nagini actually!” the mare quipped in correcting her friend. Sunburst raised an eyebrow in confusion, “Wait,. Aside from their cultures, aren’t they just one in the same thing?”

“Well there is one teeny-tiny difference between the two.”

“Oh? A-And what’s that?”

“Well if I were a lamia I may have had…. um. Goneonamonsterousfoaleatingspreeandshowingnomercytothosewhogotinmyway.”

“…Can you repeat that, but maybe a little bit slower?”

“You know what no worries! Lamia, naga. Po-tat-o, pa-tah-to!”

She gave off a nervous grin and began to sweat a little. Sunburst just brushed it off and began to ask her why she needed him. “Since I don’t have my horn anymore in this form, and Twilight out on an important international summit~~ you were really the last resort I had to call out too so… thank you. It means a lot that you would come out here so quickly to help out.” In an act of appreciation, she gave him a tight hug and tightened up her coil to show her affection. He squeaked as she wrapped her arms and tail arounf him. While it was a bit too strong for his tastes, he appreciated the effort. He couldn’t imagine how scared she was, how awkward it must have been for her body to change like. And although while he didn’t mind it, he knew that others would be quick to judge.

“Starly…. We’re gonna get you back to your normal self. No matter how long it takes.”
