100% agreement! The new castle really feels out of place. Maybe they shouldn’t have made it twice as large as everything else in the town and without the crystal effect.
That’s precisely the problem. Is the new thing that’s come is a giant gaudy gleaming crystal in the middle of idealic, humble little rural Ponyville. It’s an eyesore in contrast to this old, cozy beauty.
Tbh, I’ve stuck to the show with a great deal of optimism and waged many a debate against twilicorn haters. This is the first time I’ve complained about anything.
I mean; “Oh, yeah, that old little beautiful cozy library-house place where all of your best memories are? Got replaced by a giant gleaming eye-bleeding eyesore so Hasbro can sell more gaudy crystal toys.”
Saying she’s moved on to better things just rubs salt in the wound.
Now, honestly, I could deal with a medieval type castle, or better yet, some of Canterlot’s beautiful architecture. I actually really love the Princess Sisters’ old and new castles. The ivory, hanging plants, stained glass windows, red carpets, it’s all very beautiful.
The Crystal Empire works because it’s in the north, and it holds consistent to its own style. Crystal buildings work when you put them in a crystal city, and surround it all with a crisp, northern land.
But that thing that just grew doesn’t belong in rural Ponyville, surrounded by old cottage-style homes. It’s an eyesore, IMO. Lol, while all the peasants live with thatched roofing she’s in a giant gleaming crystal.
think it is. the tree is gone, and it hurts all. but it is time for new things to come.
Somehow I get the feeling the tree will be back in Season 5. It’s suffered plenty of abuse before and survived.
Then again, maybe that’s just wishful thinking.
You took my joke! Right down to a song I used earlier today!
I guess so, but there’s no reason to make a big deal over this loss; we have a gain from it, you know.
That doesn’t mean we can’t miss it intensely.
