I actually find a lot of things this series does to be refreshing.
It’s got a good standard of art, competent and respected females, cool fights (especially for a manga so young), a shonen main character that’s actually smart and courageous (as opposed to being too meek and needing to be saved all the time, or being thrust into things reluctantly), diverse character designs all around, everyone has their own personality, there’s the right mix of comedy and dramatic moments, there are a plethora of badasses and cool people, the villains can be drawn very intimidatingly, and the series does a wonderful job of keeping itself grounded.
Honestly, it deserves it’s popularity. A lot of people can see that this series is offering things that shonen fans have been missing out on for years.
Exactly–it has mass appeal, because it’s like the rest. Again–not sayin’ it’s bad. I find it enjoyable, but like I said, not unusual.
Apparently everyone else likes it too considering it routinely holds a place in the top five in thr Jump rankings.
I’m not saying it’s bad. But it’s not really exceptional. If you like all the other similar manga, you’ll like it.
I actually like My Hero Academia.
Have you seen the other boorus? Sadly, the manga is generic as all heck, but she’s a pretty great side character.
Yes, I can с:
