“We’re a long way from Equestria… a long long way.”
I’m… disappointed. In myself, mostly. I know, you’ll say it’s still fine but… when I get a chance to draw anything, I don’t go wild, instead I go back to my comfort zone. I ask myself every time will the others think it’s boring? Cause it’s not much new, same filly, same lines. Maybe I should have chosen some crazy angle or some unusual situation.
Then again, when I watch MLP to see if I got much behind, I see even more simple poses, anatomy and situations. They rather focus on voices, music and the plot. And at the same time they put something else into their characters. Maybe I’m just unhappy when I can’t imitate the show style well? ^^;
And I’m so used to drawing only when I’m inspired, when I know exactly what I’m gonna do, and now I’m kinda forced to draw every day. I’m feeling ashamed when I have to push it out of myself. Well, that’s the challenge of this… challenge: to find a way, I guess. A way to draw little but often instead of diving into it when the time is right. It’s very hard to keep such rhythm.
What do you think, folks? Is this stuff boring? I mean, be honest, do you expect to see more when you come here every day? It’s hard to see myself through others’ eyes. Drawing what I’d enjoy is okay but the choice is wide and I’d like to know which way to lean. ^^;

I believe you’ve done that really well in this picture. She’s sad. “Mopey” even. She doesn’t feel like doing anything. I get that! I know what that feels like! That’s what I want to see… and I want to see it done your way. That’s what I want.
as for how you can improve… even if you did draw the same thing over and over again, eventually you’ll get better at it and even branch off to doing other things. One thing I’ve learned is, whenever you make something, focus one one thing and try to get that right. then focus on another. no matter what, finish what you’re making. you don’t have to display it, in fact, you’ll probaby have a trashbox filled with bad stuff, but at least you got that one thing right!… that’s my best recomendation. in the end though, draw what you love! not just what we want
no real advice on drawing every day, since I can’t do it, but I do know that judgement is your enemy. don’t push it out of yourself, get lazy and just slap something together that looks terrible. once you can draw something terrible every day, then you can start being a little more discerning.
as for what I look for, eh… ponies amid beautiful scenery. interacting with the background: her hair touching the water. but other people look for other things, so just draw what you like.
oh and your style is way prettier than the show, so don’t worry about that. especially your expressions, leaves, and hair. I think the magic you might be missing is conflict, having something that she needs to do.
