Description
Name: Faerie Sky
Nickname(s): Fey, Little Prince
Species/Gender: Alicorn/Male
Mark/Talent: -
Personality: Very sweet though naive kid. He’s very easily distracted and not really the brightest around. But he’s kind to a fault, generally happy, and never has a mean word to say about anyone.
Important relationships:
Cadence (Mother) - She’s usually really great. He likes it when she reads or sings to him, and she’s always encouraging him in whatever he’s doing, and praising him for his accomplishments. She’s very busy though, and seems a bit tired most of the time -that’s okay, she still makes time for Faerie, so he doesn’t complain. The one time she’s really not great, is when she forces him to cut his mane because he’s stepping on it.
Shining Armor (Father) - He knows a bunch of great stories and has a ton of awesome comics he and Faerie reads together. He’s also the one who most often plays with Faerie; tag, hide-and-seek, and other games like that; he’s really bad at it though, Faerie always wins.
Flurry Heart (Oldest sister) - She’s really nice, and always seems interested in what Faerie want’s to talk about, whether it’s a cute bunny he saw once, or his recent homework. She’s usually very busy though, but sometimes takes him and Aurora out flying.
Luminous Spirit (Oldest brother) - Not very close. Luminous don’t really have much in common with Faerie, and isn’t very fond of kids in general. Sometimes he tries to teach him fencing or hoof-to-hoof combat or others of Luminous interests, but just ends up annoyed when Faerie gets distracted.
Felicity (Older Sibling) - They know seem to understand so much about other ponies, that Faerie usually goes to them when he doesn’t get why ponies act the way they do. And they usually let Faerie play with their dog, so that’s a big plus in his opinion.
Diletto (Older Brother) - Faerie loves his big brother; he has cool jewlery, knows a bunch of cool ponies, and can draw really cool pictures. Faerie really hopes he’ll be that cool one day.
Fire Aurora (Older Sister) - She’s great! She teaches him dancing and takes him flying. She doesn’t smile or talk all that much, but that’s okay; Faerie knows she cares because she always saves the best piece of dessert for him, let’s him play with her mane, and never tells him he’s babbling too much.
History:
Just when Cadence and Shining Armour thought they were done having kids, they found out that they somehow managed to be the 0.01 percent twice in the “99.9 percent effective” statistic of birth control. Since they really hadn’t planned to have any more kids, and all their other children were teenagers at this point, they considered having an abortion, but eventually decided to keep it; they both liked being parents, and Cadence at least wouldn’t have to worry about getting too old to take care of a child. They were both pretty shocked though when the foal turned out to be an alicorn; after four non-alicorn kids, they’d pretty much assumed that Flurry was a one-time thing.
Faerie currently lives with his family in the castle, and goes to a nearby school (there’s only on elementary school in the city proper, so there really wasn’t much choice there). He also had tutors for various subjects after school is finished -including Aurora teaching him dancing. He doesn’t really have many friends his age; after the first few times a classmate trciked him into being “friends” only to be able to say that their best friends with the prince, he kinda stopped inviting them over or go to their places. He’s still friendly at school and plays with the rest during breaks and such, he just doesn’t want to do anything afterwards. Add that to how much older than him the rest of his family is, and it can get a bit lonely. Shining and Cadence are considering sending him to Twilight’s school once he’s a bit older if he hasn’t made any friends at that point; the school is full of different species and types of ponies, and is lead by and alicorn, so they’re hoping he’ll feel less singled out there.
Trivia:
Loves having a long mane, and would never cut it if he had the choice; unfortunently, his mom forces him to when it starts to get so long he steps on it. He usually wears a ribbon around his tail in the traditional Crystal Empire style, but it often falls outby the end of the day.
Doesn’t yet know what his talent is, and hasn’t gotten to the point where he really cares; he’s still a few years too young for it to appear as well.
His current plan for the future is to either become a daycare teacher (his logic being that he can spend all day playing with the foals) or the first pony on the surface of the moon.
Doesn’t seem to realise that there’s anything special about him, aside from him being royalty. He knows that other alicorns are rare, and he thinks their abilities are really cool, but he just seems to not associate that with himself? He just happens to be able to do more types of magic than most ponies, nothing noteworthy about that. He doesn’t even refer to himself as an alicorn most of the time; when describing alicorns, he’d say “alicorns are this and they can do this and this”, not “we” or “us alicorns”.
His design was based on Princess Amore from the comics, because I thought I’d be fun if one of Cadence’s kids inherited their ancestors appearence.
