Vermont is the Maple Syrup state of the US.
Vermont’s a beautiful state, though. Tons of bed and breakfasts and all the maple candy you can eat. Of course, I’m a queer bastard, so I might be biased.

There is. Go to places like Vermont, Wisconsin or California and you’ll find tons of artisan cheeses for sale.

Oh I understand. It’s just hard for me to understand that living in a non-diverse town is better than living in a AT KIND OF TOWN IN THE FIRST PLACE.
Only because American beer was predominantly associated with BMC. That being said, a friend of mine (whose more knowledgeable about these sort of things than I am) pointed out that most macrobrews - regardless of where they’re from - tend to be crap. Beer aficionados in Europe and Australia tend to have low opinions of Heineken, Carling, Carlsberg and Fosters.
Rum and coke is where it’s at.
It may have brought with it a certain amount of pretentious bullshit, but that’s a price worth paying for the quality stuff coming out of our microbreweries.
I liked ice cubes before they were cool.
