Unfortunately, the DVD release removes all the references to the probably-cancelled “Manos 2” fan film that was being made. It’s too bad; they were pretty funny, and even showed some clips from that fan film during the credits (complete with the actor who was going to be playing Torgo in that film singing a parody of “Take it Easy”).
Neat, I’ll have to watch it sometime.
Impressively, they didn’t reuse a single joke from the original episode.
Neat, I wonder what it was like with Mike Nelson instead. (Granted, he was still a writer for the show back in the “Joel” days, and even played a few bit-characters, including “Torgo.”)
And then there was the live Rifftrax they did for the film a few years back…
Actually, arguably, it was one of the most popular MST3k episodes.
Poor guy had to mimic a satyr’s walking so he had to awkwardly move by wearing his shoes backwards which affected his locomotion forever until he died.
