He’s holding them with his hooves, and they’re being held to his hooves by his immense love for silly nonsense.

I am human, hear me err.

I’m guessing he’s holding the binoculars in his front hooves. That, or they’re resting on a rock in front of him. Otherwise, there needs to be a glow, both from his horn and around the binoculars, indicating he’s holding them in his magic.
