Nah man that magic produces an electric field of about 25 gigavolts per meter to ionize and accelerate deuterium nuclei into an erbium deuteride target, and that is enough kinetic energy to make the nuclei fuse. No need for a fission primary lol.

Well… it’s faster, and compression of the primary stage is crucial here.

Although I think Celestia can go for Cobalt bomb-like irradiation kill instead.
