One-piece suits. AND if you need to justify the use of a swimsuit, you can say saltwater is bad for their fur or maybe it’s just fashionable. I mean, they got away with the Cake’s kids being different races, so an explanation is really not something they’d worry much about.

I remember that someone found a better name for the crotchboobs bikini on a ponibooru pic, but I can’t remember what it was. It would be a good idea for a tag just in case more people draw that.

I find it hard to believe that parents would get upset at bikinis when ponies are usually naked.

I think the most appropriate in the show would be nothing at all with a few accessories such as shades, hats,swimming cap, or innertubes. Don’t get me wrong, I would love to see bikinis and swimsuits in the show.
 
However, lets just leave the rest up to imagination… lest we have more moronic butthurt parents.

Do what Pokemon did and have someone get huge boobs to win a swim suit contest. If it did happen, I’d be sure to DVR the PREMIER like I did with “The last Roundup” with Derpy having her original voice and stuff.

Hiding the rectification of a wedgie must be easier with magic. Also, I’d imagine ponies wouldn’t get wedgies as easily, if at all.
