Thus, if this does happen, the one who will defeat Starlight Glimmer will be herself.

I miss the show so much
Doing this would be downright genocidal.
 
But this will never happen. They wouldn’t confront Glimmer at all. They wouldn’t even talk to her. They would just remotely knock her out and completely disable her in some way (drain her magic away like Tirek, install magic inhibitors, or even cut off her horn if nothing else works), then imprison her indefinitely. Which is what Twilight would have done to her if she hadn’t wasted time with special moves.
